Hampstead Physical Therapy Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month
September, 2007 (Hampstead, NC) Hampstead Physical Therapy was chosen as the Hampstead Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month for September 2007. Upon receiving the distinction, Rusty Walker replied by saying "It is a great honor to be recognized in the community for the physical therapy services we are providing to the greater Hampstead area. Since opening last year we have really worked hard to build up the practice and to give the best possible physical therapy to our patients."
Hampstead Physical Therapy specializes in physical therapy for common conditions, such as back, shoulder and knee pain. Post-Surgical and Post-Stroke rehabilitation are also part of the specialty programs here at Hampstead Therapy. State-of-the-art equipment paired with personalized treatment plans for each individual patient will both relieve pain and restore function.
Preston "Rusty" Walker, PT, MPT, owner and physical therapist, has over fourteen years experience including working in orthopedics, acute care, neurological rehab, home health and pediatrics. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1992 and went on to receive his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In the two years before opening Hampstead Physical Therapy he was the chief physical therapist at Duplin General Hospital Outpatient Services. His philosophy is based on utilizing effective, evidence-based interventions to achieve maximum results. To further his commitment to this viewpoint, Rusty will be sitting for the Orthopedic Specialist examination at the end of the year.
The staff also includes, Tina Keels, PTA, LMT; Tiffany Walker, insurance specialist and administrator; and Rita Hodshun, office assistant and receptionist. They all service the area with the mission to provide superior quality therapy that produces positive outcomes for patients.
