Rusty Walker, PT, MPT
Rusty Walker, PT, MPT, owner and physical therapist, has over fourteen years experience including working in orthopedics, acute care, neurological rehab, home health and pediatrics. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1992 and went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In the two years before opening Hampstead Physical Therapy he was the chief physical therapist at Duplin General Hospital Outpatient Services. His philosophy is based on utilizing effective, evidence-based interventions to achieve maximum results. To further his commitment to this viewpoint, Rusty will be sitting for the Orthopedic Specialist examination at the end of the year.
Tina Keels, LPTA, LMBT
Tina has over nine years experience as a PTA (physical thrapy assistant) and has also been a licensed massage therapist for six of those years. She received her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Fayetteville Tech, her NC Board Certified Massage Therapy training at The Whole You School of Massage, and her Pilates Mat Certification in Asheville, NC. Before joining the staff at Hampstead Physical Therapy she worked for Black Mountain Physical Therapy. Her family connections in the area brought her and her daughter, Savannah, back to Hampstead.
Heather Moore, PT
Heather is originally from Texas where she completed her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University. She graduated as a Physical Therapist from Texas Woman's University taking her first job at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. While there she worked acute, outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation with exposure to wound and burn patient care.
She moved to the area in April 2007 to join her husband, Josh, after he returned from his first tour of duty and began working at an orthopedic outpatient clinic in Jacksonville. She treated total knee replacements, adhesive capsulitis, cervical and spinal injuries and performed manual therapy to all extremities, low back, pelvic and sacroiliac joints. Heather and Josh have chosen to settle into the area and continue to take advantage of their love for boating, fishing and camping.
Tiffany Walker, Administrator & Insurance Specialist
Tiffany Walker graduated with a degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University. After working for several different companies over nine years and having a baby, she and Rusty decided to open Hampstead Physical Therapy. Her business background and hands on knowledge of insurance enables her handle all aspects of billing and claims and gerenal administration. Rusty and Tiffany have a son Preston and live in Hampstead where they really enjoy the small community, the beach, their family.
Rita Hodshun, Office and Reception
Rita comes to us with many years of diversified experience in the health care industry. We are very happy to have her! She is the office assistant and receptionist extroidinare on Tuesday and Thursday. You will always find a welcoming smile on her face.
